About

Starcast Performing Arts Schools provide exceptional part time theatre training for 4 – 18 year olds in singing, dancing and acting, in Salisbury, Amesbury and Romsey.

Starcast was founded in 2009 in Salisbury by professional and international performer and dancer, Samantha Holloway who wanted to develop and encourage local children’s love for the Performing Arts in a school where no one is judged and everyone feels valued. The Schools grew from one session a week to 6 busy schools in Salisbury, Amesbury and Romsey with nearly 300 students attending weekly classes.

Starcast is a friendly, welcoming Performing Arts School which is suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced. Through our classes, teaching techniques and performance opportunities our students learn to be confident, articulate and expressive – skills for life.

We pride ourselves in offering inspirational, creative, fun classes in a professional, disciplined environment.

In our sessions we cover many aspects of the three main Theatre Arts disciplines from West End musical theatre through to street dance, commercial dance, hip hop, chart songs and acting for camera.

Students gain valuable insights into the industry with regular special guest workshops led by experienced professionals from stage and screen.

There is a strong focus on performance opportunities this helps students develop their confidence and potential, to give every student the chance to shine on stage.

Many students have also gained professional work such as parts in the West End of tour of “Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang” and “Evita” and TV adverts, thanks to our partnership with an established talent agency.

We also offer guidance and support for students who wish to apply for professional vocational college and university auditions.

Our school is constantly evolving but our principles stay the same…. respect, discipline, diligence, fun and friendships are key to a wonderful training and happy, confident children.

Testimonials

  • I love everything about being part of the Starcast Family and I couldn’t possibly narrow down one favourite thing about Starcast. It is a confidence boosting, professional yet relaxed environment that brings endless joy to all that go there. I wouldn’t be the person I am had I not spent half my life as part of this family!

  • Starcast I want to thank you for all your support of Livi, whilst she may often seem this ball of confidence, she really isn’t, so the way you bring her out of herself and give her belief will give her skills for her whole life, how special and precious that is.

    - Sue, Starcast Parent
  • I have been training at starcast for 8 years now. My favourite thing about starcast is the atmosphere and how enjoyable it is and how it can fix your mood after a boring day at school. If you’re thinking about joining starcast but are too shy/ scared of making friends, you shouldn’t be. Starcast is such a loving place to be and eveyone is a group and is a part of a family and will take you onboard. Starcast has boosted my confidence more than I ever could of imagined, I made new friends from different schools. I am 14 years old. Starcast is by far the best group I have ever been too and I’m so lucky to have such a loving family like the one at starcast. I am so thankful for everything they have done for me and can’t wait for many more years of shows and exams x
